One of the famous tourist destinations in Semarang is the Sam Po Kong Temple, located on Jalan Simongan Raya, West Semarang. This 3.2-hectare temple features complex Chinese and Javanese architecture from the 14th century. An annual festival is always held at the Sam Poo Kong Temple, where statues are paraded along the road, starting from Jalan Lombok (Chinatown) to ending at the pagoda.
